Mount Gilead Community Choir

Now in its thirteenth year, the Mount Gilead Community Choir is a volunteer group of area musicians who enjoy singing together and sharing that joy with their neighbors. The choir is open to adult singers without audition.


Community Choir Christmas Program Presented December 2
The Very Best Time of Year
The Mount Gilead Community Choir presented its 13th annual Christmas concert, The Very Best Time of Year, on Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mount Gilead. The program featured selections from Dale Wood, John Rutter, Natalie Sleeth and more, in settings for choir, solo and duet. Featured vocalists were Ron Adams, Trey Lincoln, Sandra Miller, Nancy Swan, Trey Lincoln and Natasha Wall. The choir was accompanied by Leah S. Barton and directed by Johnny Almond. Flutist Daphne Hayer was featured on three numbers, and Tip Harris provided percussion for two selections.
